Summer Helper Keyboard: Good Morning. These past few months have been a huge summer of growth in my desire to serve God. It has truly been a summer of joy being with everyone. From the people at St. Cecilia’s and St. Peter Claver, to the priests of our county, and those that have invited us to share a meal with them in their homes. It is inspiring seeing everyone who regularly goes to daily Mass and joins us for Liturgy of the Hours afterwards. I hope that with your prayers, I will keep up the practice of daily Mass and Liturgy of the Hours when I return to Ave Maria University next month.
Since the last time you heard from me, I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer at St. John’s Summer Program and work at Camp Ohana (a camp for foster children). Although I didn’t know what to expect, I enjoyed seeing the happiness of those children in their innocent desire to just be kids. (Matthew 18:3) Just this past week, I’ve had multiple opportunities to play music for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. My desire is to glorify God with my music and to be an instrument in the hands of God. I sincerely hope that the music I sang for the kids and for those at Adoration was able to help them encounter God in an anagogical way when we all will praise God in heaven.
Let us all be reminded that our daily encounter with one another is an encounter with God and a genuine desire to serve Him through our brothers and sisters in Christ. Let us be joyful!
Pace e Bene,
